I’m working on a painting of the Cinque Terre as a belated wedding present for my sister and brother-in-law. I spent today setting it up and sketching it out, and so far I’m pretty happy with it. I know I’ll have a hard time moving on to the next stage, though, since I love the sketched look and I always hate to paint over it.

On a side note, this was my first experience of working on a painting with a pet around. As it turns out, Sicily seems to like blue paint. Quite a bit. I found her licking it off of her paw and, after cleaning her up as well as I could, I then found her licking it directly off of the palette. Fortunately it doesn’t seem to have made her sick, but it looks like I’ll need to keep a closer watch on her while I’m working.

Hi! Do you sell your work? I love what you’re doing with the Cinque Terre piece and would be interested in having something commissioned.
